viritual dog training

Dog training has never been easier with the help of technology!  I offer 45 minute virtual training sessions in the comfort of your own home with the help of online video conferencing, predominately held via Zoom.  All dog training clients must first book an initial animal communication reading or a single consultation to determine the best course of action.

Lessons focus on a range of topics spanning from obedience, improving house manners, behavioral modification, impulse control, polite greetings, and beyond.  Our lessons can be fully customized and tailored to specific goals and needs.

I believe in maximizing the use of science backed positive reinforcement based training, along with pairing the non-conventional modalities of animal communication to bridge the best of both worlds.

If any questions arise you will receive email support in-between sessions along with a customized training plan and homework assignments to work on throughout the week.

single Consultation

One 45- minute virtual consultation conducted via zoom.

If you are a new client interested in signing up for a training package and have not completed an animal communication reading, you must sign up for a single consultation or an animal communication reading first.

In this session we will go over any specific concerns and goals you have and formulate a training plan to move forward.

This consultation is great for covering single topics, such as:

o    Housebreaking

o    Jumping/nipping

o    Management of counter surfing

o    Preparing for a new puppy

o    Owner Trained Service dog questions

o    Preparing your dog for a new baby

o    Working through fear/anxiety

o    Determining next steps for training plans

 Frequently asked questions

  • No! We can work with all your dogs during our session at no additional cost. Though we are working with the confines of time, I do make it my mission to address all your questions for each animal.

  • I believe in maximizing the use of positive reinforcement-based training as my first line of defense, paired with the non-conventional animal communication techniques I am gifted with. I stand with the LIMA principle, which stands for “Least Intrusive Minimally Aversive.”

  • Please make sure you have plenty of high value treats available to last the duration of our session. These treats should be crumb sized and a variety should be present in case your pup gets bored with one flavor. Moist, meaty, stinky treats work best. Having boiled chicken is always a crowd favorite! Make sure your pup is hungry and ready to work. This may mean withholding breakfast until after our session if we are meeting early or feeding a half portion. Make sure your dog has enough energy to train and you limit distractions during this time so we can spend the full 45 minutes focused.

  • Yes! The whole family is welcome to join if desired, but you know your children best…. if they are unable to sit through the session with the attention solely on your pup, you may want to provide an activity for them to do or utilize a babysitter. You know your family dynamic best, so I leave the choice to you.

  • No. I do not ever guarantee results as there are so many variables that can influence the outcome, such as the family’s ability to follow through with homework assignments, individual skillsets of the pet parents, the learning style of each dog, and different behavioral challenges we may be facing. Every dog is unique, progresses at their own rate and some require more time and sessions than others. Each package is meant to provide a foundation for the family to work from, knowing this is a long-term journey they are embarking on together.

  • Yes! I find that there are benefits to holding sessions remotely. Often the first 15 minutes of meeting with clients in person involve getting the dog to settle back down after the initial excitement of having a new person enter their home. By holding sessions virtually, we remove the added distraction and can jump straight into learning.

  • Each session will begin by asking how the previous week’s homework went and answering any questions that may have popped up. We will then focus on expanding the skills from the week before and adding an additional 1-3 new skills to practice depending on the goals of that week. I will provide a tutorial and explanation; then have you practice with your dog while I coach you through any challenges. An outline of what we worked on, and homework assignments will be provided at the completion of the lesson.
